A Healthy School


Ladycross is a Healthy School and we have won awards for our work.

The children have many opportunities to learn about a healthy lifestyle. We hold an annual ‘Healthy Week’ of activities, but healthy living is interwoven throughout daily life at Ladycross. We want our children to adopt healthy and safe lifestyles and believe they should have these practices as a part of every day living. For example, being active each day, drinking water and eating a balanced diet, making healthy food choices, understanding feelings, knowing how to keep safe in a variety of situations. The curriculum has many activities as part of Science, Personal and Social education, Sex and Relationships education and geography.

We encourage children to travel actively to school by walking or scooting. We take part in Travel Smart Week and we are also a Scooter Smart school.
