Open Classroom in October from 3pm until 4.30pm- your child’s classroom is open after school for parents and carers to come along and have a look at the work the children have been doing.
We hold several Christmas Concerts for parents and carers to attend during the school day.
Nursery songs will take place in the session your child attends that day.
Healthy Week is usually the last week in the third term – this is a week when we invite visitors in to school to do activities with the children about how to lead healthy and safe lifestyles.
Parent Consultation day in February – the school is open all day for parents and carers to make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher. Children are not at school on this day. If you can’t make a time on this day, see your child’s teacher for a more suitable time in the same week. There will also be a Book Fair in the Hall.
World Book Day in March – your child is invited to come dressed as a story book character for the day. If your child does not like dressing up, they do not have to do so.
ACES DAY in May. Children will be taking part in activities all about being active and fit. A full PE kit including trainers or plimsolls is needed.
Sports Day in June – This takes place in the morning at Cloudside Junior School on the large playing field. A full PE kit including trainers or plimsolls is needed. It starts at 10 am. You are welcome to come and watch and it lasts about an hour and a half. If it is called off due to the weather, we will try to rearrange for the following week.
Parent consultation evenings in June – The school shall be open after 3pm for parents and carers to book an appointment to see your child’s class teacher.
Y2 concerts in July – An invitation for tickets is sent out.
Year 2 Lea Green residential in July – This is an opportunity for children to experience an exciting night away with their friends in a safe countryside setting where they will take part in exciting activities such as stream walking, canoeing, obstacle courses and buggy driving.
Year 2 party day in July- the year 2 children have an afternoon party to celebrate the end of their time at Ladycross. Party clothes are needed.
Year 2 leavers’ assembly on the last school day in July – this is at 2pm in the school hall and lasts an hour. All family members are invited as we say goodbye to our year 2 children.
