Sports day is held every year. It is a fun morning and parents and family members are invited to watch. The children are split into teams so they work with friends from other year groups. They visit team games and score points on them. The games include balancing, throwing, kicking, running and jumping, egg and spoon races and relays. Each team has an adult that leads them around the school, scoring the points for them. At the end of sports day, all teams go to the hall to cool down and see which team has the most points. They are awarded stickers and a trophy.
The aim of the day is to keep fit, have fun and enjoy sport and games. It is part of our healthy school programme and an important social time for everyone in school.
