Cool Milk

We work with with “Cool Milk” to make milk available for all children. School milk is free for under-5s, including nursery, and for our pupil premium / free school meal children of all ages. For 5s and over, who are not pupil premium / free school meals, it is available at a subsidised* price of 28p per day.

Cool Milk is a 189ml portion of semi-skimmed milk, provided every day, delivered fresh and chilled to the classroom. School milk will not only provide children with essential nutrients, but as it is rehydrating and energy boosting it also bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch to help children stay focused. Where parents have informed us of allergies or dietary requirements which would mean that milk should not be offered, we have removed these children from the registration. We have included vegetarian children in the registration, but have not included children following vegan, diary free or halal diets. Unfortunately, at this stage, there is no alternative offer to cows’ milk.

Do I need to register?

Our under 5s and our pupil premium / free school meal children are already registered by Ladycross – parents do not need to register.

If your child is 5 or older, and is not pupil premium / free school meals, and you wish to pay for milk

• Register and pay online at coolmilk.com
• You can pay Cool Milk online in half-termly, termly or annual instalments.
• Please pay by a Tuesday at 3pm for your child’s milk to start the following week

If your child is about to have their 5^th birthday, and you wish to pay for their milk going forwards

• Free milk will continue until the Friday before your child’s fifth birthday. You will receive a payment request four weeks before their birthday - if you wish your child to continue to receive school milk, simply make a payment
