Everything you need to know about Year 2
In the morning, the doors will be open between 8.50am and 9am. This gives the children time to settle to be ready for a prompt 9am start.

Please do make sure that all belongings including jumpers, cardigans, PE kit, hats and even gloves are clearly labelled. Although we work hard to help the children keep track of their belongings, we often end the day with a number of un-named items which we struggle to reunite with their rightful owners. Throughout Year 1, we promote independence and encourage all children to take responsibility for their belongings. | |
Please send your child into school with a named water bottle with water in it. Children are able to access their bottles throughout the day and so to protect teeth and to stop sticky spills, we ask that bottles contain water only. | |
In year 2 our PE sessions are Wednesday for all classes,Tuesdays for Freedman and Friday for Dahl and Walliams. Please send children to school in their PE kit which consists of:
*Some PE sessions may require children to take part in bare feet. |

Children will be able to go to the toilet whenever the need to, however as the year progresses, we will encourage children to use the toilet at lunch and break times and during times when they are not working directly with a teacher.

Communication

Please ring the school office in the first instance if your child is going to be off school sick before 8.50am. We can administer medicine to children that has been prescribed by a doctor but only if a medication form has been completed. These forms are available from the office. |
